So this go around my face really has swelled up. I look unrecognizable to myself when I look in the mirror. It really took. It hurts like a mofo but the stinging has gone away significantly.

It’s been a long time…
So I met a new nurse at the dermatologist and I remembered that I even had this blog. So here’s the scoop!:
I’ve had multiple spots removed and multiple Levulan treatments. I am actually here for one now. They haven’t been working so hot lately so I’m giving it one last shot. I ended up moving to another dermatologist, this one still as handsome, and have been happy thus far. I’m starting the “if this doesn’t work we’re back at Efudex” journey. Can’t wait. Literally I have to wait to seal my destiny. Ugh.

Levulan treatment #1
Tomorrow marks my journey starting Levulan, otherwise known as “Blue Light” therapy. I will be doing my chest tomorrow and next month my face. I am super excited to have the opportunity to try Levulan as it is a quicker method of treating skin damage. On the other hand I am extremely nervous, as I do not know what to expect both pain wise and reaction wise. I will continue to document the changes for myself and for all those experiencing the same thing. Please see the before pictures and I will post more as the days progress.

Recovery day two is going well. For the most part the burning feelings have gone. I am still tender though.

FINALLY done! I would rather have done the two week cream. Tired of my hair being matted to my face in blood ;(.

This cream was intense the longer you used it. It was not painful except for the fact that in the most affected areas it felt like you were severely burned and itched.

My face has amazing texture now! I have been able to wear my makeup now and have really been doing so much better! I have scarring, but overall no limited texture issues. I still have stayed clear of the sun- as I intend to- and know that every day I am looking better.
